Coal under Hawthornden

The Records of the National Coal Board contain a plan from 1938 now archived with the National Records of Scotland Office as number RHP10000/ML16.  This is titled “Plan of all the coal and other minerals under the land and barony of Hawthornden the lands of Gorton, Gortonlee Mountmarle, Hewan and Hewan Bogs”.
